Just funished running 3 miles in just under 24 minutes. Not bad for a guy over 200 pounds. Last time i ran this fast I was 20 pounds lighter
So I was at the gym today during my lunch break from work and the wierdest thing happened… well, maybe not that wierd but it was surprising!
So I’m doing my dumbbell bench press set of 130 pounds on each hand and afrer my second set I notice that I was actually lifting 130 on my left and 135 on my right! At first I thought maybe someone had switched my weights during my water break but then I remembered that something had felt a little funny.
So I said oh what the hell, I’ll just even it out and do 135s on both arms! And to my pleasant surprise I did the set with 4 clean reps! It’s crazy because it’s been a couple of months since I maxed out at 130. Like 2 or 3 months tops. I was NOT expecting or planning on surpassing that mark any time soon. But I did in a very short period of time and so unexpectedly. It’s amazing what our bodies can do. Sometimes we downplay our abilities and limit ourselves unnecessarily.
Wow! I think without a doubt i’ve entered into beast mode. Its official folks
Wishing you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! To all my beautiful, sexy, FIT followers, I’m personally wishing you a prosperous, healthy, and fit new year! Blessings and love,

Worked out my calves today and I can barely walk properly! I love it!! It means I’m about to get some major growth
I looked in the mirror today and the definition in my torso is coming back!! My changes in diet and exercise are working!! It looks like I’ll be able to keep my mass and still get shredded! My birthday is in December and I wanna push myself to see if I can get in the best shape of my life before I’m 24!
i was just going back through some recent photos when i weighed in in the 180-185lb range. And my arms look the same as they do now in my 190-195 range. So where is the weight coming from? I have been working on my legs more since my last comp. I guess these is where accurate measurements would come in handy. That’s what i’m going to do. If I can maintain my size while losing weight that would be great. it would help me with my shows and also come in handy in yoga because i’ll be dealing with a lighter frame while maintaining the same strength.
before i continue, a big shout out to the wave of new fitblrs who’ve followed my blog. i don’t wanna call you guys followers because you’re all individuals on your own journey to fitness who’ve decided to subscribe to my blog and stay updated on what’s going on. so thanks.
so, on to the subject at hand. as you know i’ve been maintaining mass above the 190 mark. unfortunately i haven’t been consistent on my exercises and diet. i still have good gains but no where near my competition shape. i’ve been busy with school and work. I’ll be relocating soon so i’ve been traveling back and forth making the necessary arrangements.
unfortunately i’ve had some back to back injuries as well. overexerting myself. as i’m typing right now i’m dealing with discomfort and weakness on the middle right side of my back. i’ve been feeling weak too. just a month ago i was incline benching 115lb dumbbells each per hand, a total of 230. after 2-3 weeks of not doing that particular exercise, i was so weak i couldn’t even do a single rep of 115s or even 110’s! I was disappointed. But the following week I came back, did the 110’s but injured myself in the process. my form was not the business.
anyways, no need to cry me a river. i’m just sharing my own personal experiences that i’m facing on my journey of fitness. some of you might be able to relate. i’m opening up to show that even those who’ve trained their bodies to reach peak form to the point that they have competed on stage have bad days too. sometimes we have bad weeks also. but that’s just the nature of the journey. you fall down but you get back up and keep going forward.
i’m determined to get back into peak shape. i’ll climax my journey by competing once again on stage. it won’t be the end of the journey, just the peak of that cycle. and then i’ll start a new one again. if you guys stick around, you will have access to all of that. the first hand behind the scenes access to what it takes to reach that point and the hurdles involved. It’s going to be fun and hopefully inspiring. I haven’t picked a competition date yet, but once I do, you guys will be the first to know. Until then stay tuned, stay involved. any questions just message me. good luck on your journeys too.
peace and love

I did heavy weights last night. So today at the gym I decided to go heavy again but different exercises than yesterday. I could not even lift one rep! I lowered the amount and tried again, same result. How embarrassing! Lesson learnt: give your body time to rest! Seriously I feel like all my strength is gone. Good thing I didn’t get hurt. Well my pride did, but whatever. Live to beast another day
first I’m going to fuel up with some rice (carbs) for energy and some chicken (protein) for muscle repair and growth. I also bring my 1 gallon jug of water to stay fully hydrated throughout.
Tonight I’ll be working on chest, triceps, and biceps for the upper body. And for the lower body I’ll work my quads and hams. then work my entire core; lower and upper abdominals and obliques too.
I’ll post the exact exercises along with the weights, reps, sets, and rest times for each soon. And of course a pic too to measure the progress.
If you’ve been following my blog you know that I haven’t been going to the gym as often. I’ve been going once a week compared to 5-6 times I used to. Anyways, with my last workout, I didn’t feel as strong as I’ve used to been. I didn’t like that feeling so I’m going to pick it up some more. I plan on working out at least 3-4 times each week.
So for this week I’m going to do weights tonight, yoga tomorrow, weights the day after that, and then some cardio, and then finish the week off with some more yoga.
